Made it to San Diego today. It's beautiful here, really wish I could afford to live here.
The boys did amazing on the drive. They really are good little travelers.
I struggled a little. I really miss my driver. There were quite a few times when I was driving that I would just burst into tears. It's so hard not having him here. I never use to drive anywhere. Even when we came to California in January he drove the entire way (I promise I offered). We always made such a great team on road trips. He would drive and I would navigate.
It's hard being here without him. He loved the beach so much. When we were here last that is the one thing that he wished he could do was get in the ocean. We talked about how the next time we came he'd be able to be out there swimming with the boys, I never thought the next time we came it would be without him. Well hopefully he can get a little break from his business in heaven and get to be with me & the boys when we go to the beach.
Today is just one of those days where I can't believe he is really gone. We aren't supposed to be on vacation without him. He should be here. Struggling...

Light the Night
What an amazing night!
We had such a great time. On our way home the boys asked me if we could do this every year :) that says a lot. (Of course it might have been because of the bounce houses and the face painting and the fun tattoos :)
Thank you SO much to all who donated, it's such a great cause.
Here are some pictures from our night...
We made shirts for our team (40 of them). For not knowing what we were doing I think they turned out pretty dang good :)
Here is the front
Here is the back
Me & My Boys
The walk getting under way
Our awesome banner
The whole gang, yep I have an amazing family!
We had so much fun! I even ran into our 2 favorite PA's, Shar and Ali, it was SO great to see them!
There was a remembrance ceremony before the walk which was also really good, pretty emotional but good. I'm glad the boys got to be there for that.
On our way home the boys and I stopped at Denny's for dinner (yes it was almost 10, but we were hungry). I'm so blessed to have those three amazing boys in my life!
This will definitely be an annual thing for us, so plan on joining our team next year!
Go Team Friends 4 Clint!
Thanks Everyone!!!

11 years ago today I married the most amazing man
A man way too good for me (especially the me I was back then)
The strongest, gentlest, most caring man
My man...
We thought our lives would be perfect
And for nine and a half years they were pretty dang close...
I miss him so much today
Our anniversary was the one day I could totally count on him to be the one to find a sitter and take me somewhere (usually for more than a day)
I really missed that today
And as hard as things seem most days, I would do it all again in a heartbeat
Because being loved by him is the most amazing feeling in the world
I'm so lucky that he is stuck with me for eternity
I miss you sweetie, Happy Anniversary
I came across this poem in the cemetery the other day and really loved it...
God saw that you were tired, and a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you, and whispered, "come to me"
With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away
Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best
A man way too good for me (especially the me I was back then)

We went to the carnival at the boys school tonight. They had a ton of fun! Played so many games, got way too much candy, and of course balloons. They all wanted to stop at the cemetery on the way home and send their balloons up to dad, so of course we did! I hope these boys know how much I love them!!
