can we go to the "bug museum"?

So last week we were trying to think of something to do with the boys. I was having a hard time trying to come up with something fun but cheap! Luckily I remembered the boys asking when we could go to the "bug museum" again. The "bug museum" is actually the Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum at BYU and Nik & Nate had gone on a field trip there last year with their pre-school class and loved it! Best of all it is FREE (my favorite part)!! Here are some of our favorite pics from the day!

They were most excited to see the polar bear. Nate loves polar bears!

This is all my boys watching a movie about polar bears hunting. Must've been pretty good judging by the look on Clint's face! Love you sweetie! I also love that Noah just sprawls out on the floor like he owns the place!

The boys loved all the bears especially the ones you could get so close too.

I love the lions!

Had to get pictures with the animals that are in Alaska with Uncle Chris!
The Moose and the Zodiak Bear!

Couldn't leave without getting a picture with "Shasta the Liger"

We had such a good time and Clint took us to Stans afterward for a yummy ice cream cone!
So if anyone is looking for something fun to do with the kids that is super cheap I definitely recomend the "bug museum"!

dinosaur museum

So our membership at thanksgiving point was expiring this month so we made one last run to the dinosaur museum (the boys favorite place on earth!) They always have so much fun and would go every day if we'd let them! Here are a few pics from our day there!

This is the boys playing in the "wet sand".
This is their favorite part of the museum!

Here they are sitting on "Cera".
Needless to say they are big fans of all the Land Before Time movies.

This is them digging in the "dry sand". They love uncovering all the bones!

I'm hoping I can talk Clint into getting a membership there this year too we had so much fun the past year going to the museum, the farm, & the gardens(my favorite)! Love it!

the other lost tooth

So Nate has lost his other tooth! It didn't seem that long since my last post but I was looking at the date on the picture and it was clear back on Jan. 27th that he lost the 2nd one! Crazy how time flies. We almost lost this one too, I was brushing his teeth and he looked up at me and said mom I think my tooth fell out and I said well where is it and he points to the sink and it is sitting halfway down the drain! Luckily I was able to get a Q-tip and guide it out! Phew! Nate was pretty worried (he needed it to put under his pillow for the tooth fairy) But we got it out and he got his dollar from the tooth fairy!

Lost Tooth

Well Nate has had a loose tooth for quite a while and all last weekend we were trying to convince him to let us pull it out but he wouldn't let us near it! Well on Monday he came home from school and it was still there but while eating lunch he looked over at me and said Mom, I think my tooth fell out and I said well where is it and he said I don't know. Just like Nik he swallowed his 1st loose tooth. I guess because they are twins they think they have to do everything alike! But here is his new photo with a missing tooth, the one next to it is loose too so pretty soon he will look just like Nik again! Cute Kid!!

House for Sale (anyone, anyone)

So it is official--Our house is up for sale! I'm not sure how I really feel about this plan but I guess we will see what happens. I gotta tell you the first time I drove up and saw the for sale sign in the front yard I got a little teary eyed but I do think this is the right thing for us to do right now. We had some people come look at it within the first few days we had it on the market which freaked me out a little but we haven't heard back so I guess they don't want it! Well wish us luck (I guess) on getting it sold and if you know anyone in the market for a house send them our way.

Walking with Dinosaurs

Last night we took the boys to see Walking with Dinosaurs at the Energy Solutions Arena. They had so much fun and as soon as it was over Nik asked when we could come and see the dinosaurs again! (In case you didn't know all of our boys are obsessed with dinosaurs)

Here are the boys in their seats at intermission!

Here is a long neck

Here are some "cera's" fighting. They weren't really triceratops they were something else but to my boys they were two Cera's (gotta love Land Before Time)

Here's another dino with the narrator. The dinosaurs were really big. I think if we hadn't been in the nosebleeds the boys might have gotten pretty scared!

And here is the boys favorite the T-Rex! (They also had Utah Raptors which are Nate's other favorite but I didn't get a picture of them for some reason) Noah didn't like the T-Rex very much it was too big and loud for him! But Nik & Nate thought it was awesome!!

Here is a video of the T-Rex protecting its baby. My camera definitely doesn't do it justice!
All in all it was a really fun night and the boys had so much fun!

Sledding Fun!

Who knew I had such crazy brave boys?
We went sledding yesterday down to the new church by our house and the boys had so much fun! They started out just going down the hill but pretty soon they wanted to try one of the jumps people had made and then they wanted to try a bigger one and a bigger one until they went off the biggest one there! They had the time of their lives and I was pretty proud that they are so brave (I wouldn't have dared to go off those jumps)!
Nik & Nate ready to hit the slopes!!

Noah spent most of the time just laying & playing in the snow!

This was Nate's first jump he caught some pretty good air! And had the biggest smile on his face!

Here is Nik catching some air!

This is Noah the first time Clint sent him down by himself-yes he is upside down!

Here's Clint having just as much fun as the kids! Best Dad Ever!

Clint and Noah sledding down the hill!

Nik jumping again!

And here is Nate with the biggest jump of the day! CRAZY!!

I think they would've stayed all night if we let them. They love the snow!
