1st night with chemo

So we made it through night #1with the chemo! Clint is doing suprisingly well, yeah! He hasn't had hardly any nausea (really who knows how to spell that?) and has just been pretty sore this morning, he said he feels like someone beat the crap out of him last night! I think the soreness might have to do with his crazy reaction to the ambien they gave him to help him sleep, he was acting/talking crazy we'll definitely stay away from ambien from now on! All his labs & numbers seem to be headed in the right direction so that's good. That's about all the news we've had this morning. Now if we could just get rid of this fever that will not go away (he's not a fan of the ice packs they're making him stick under his neck and in his armpits).
We can really feel all your love & prayers so keep them coming! Thanks & we love you!

REALLY good news. I'm so glad it hasn't made him too sick yet and I hope it continues that way. I can't stand that he has to have ice in his armpits. Just the thought makes me shiver. Good luck today.

Yeah!! So glad he is doing well. And yes, you spelled nausea right! ;-) Hugs to you and Clint. I've been thinking about you constantly!

P.S. Tell them to STOP ice packing him...it will just make him shiver more and drive up his fever higher. Plus it is miserable! Hang in there.

Great news!

Yes, stay away from Ambian. Rick went on a mountaineering trip once with a doctor who told him that most people have strange vivid dreams while on Ambian...people have dreamt of driving their car, only to wake up actually driving--WHILE ASLEEP! Crazy stuff.

Anyway, we are praying. We are crossing our fingers. And we are supporting you guys. *HUGS* Keep the faith!

Amy,
I saw Kevin Franson's post on Facebook and wanted to sent my prayers and positive energy your way.

fyi: Lunesta is much better than Ambien. My husband has had weird side effects as well to Ambien.

God Bless,
